Feng Shui Christmas

Feng Shui – What is It ?

The Australian Dictionary says it is “Water and Wind”, the balancing of Yin and Yang in one’s physical surroundings in accordance with rules in relation to : architecture, location of buildings, positioning of furniture and objects in a room.  I say yes it is, and more.  Feng Shui can be applied to every aspect of your life, and the results are astounding.

Examples of this can be :

  • Appreciation and making the most of beauty around you.
  • Starting each day with with quiet thoughts and moments.
  • Observing more and listening to your instincts.
  • Making excellent use of elements and plant life that are easily accessible in your area.
  • Frankincense and Myrrh the essential oils are beautiful to use at this special time of year.

Have fun introducing some Feng Shui principles in your home this Christmas ; achieving balance and flow wherever you are or go.

Happy Christmas Month

Elements

Elements,

Colours, colours are such a wonderful thing and bring so much beauty into the world.  Colours  can also help to create more harmony within, that is within you,  and in your homes and office spaces, in the most creative and advantageous ways.  You may already know which colours you feel best and most effective in, when wearing, and this is just the beginning.

By knowing your birth year – go on to identify which element applies to you more specifically.

Are you Earth, Metal, Water, Wood or Fire ?

Learn to understand  more about yourself and others by identifying your elements and cycles.

Very use filled !!

De-Cluttering

De-Cluttering is a Hot Topic this month and so

there is never a better time than to de-clutter the rooms in your home. As we have been talking ‘Back to School’ I recommend you start with your student/s room keeping in mind these tips :-

* The bedroom is our space to enjoy – a space to relax and to rest. This applies to our kids as well. Create a clean, clear environment where they too can simply enjoy their surroundings and rest really well.  A place to connect with their creative side.

* Have spaces allocated so that it is easy to find their own items, which in turn is very good for self confidence/esteem.

* It is preferable to not have a study desk in the bedroom

If the study desk must be in bedroom, set it up so your student will have a good, solid wall behind their chair (for good thinking and added support).

A few things to keep in mind and above all, love your kids, let them know how all right they are ! In the past two weeks I have heard and seen some scenes that would curl your toes and so intend to continue sharing ideas that might just make some small difference in our world. Sing out if you have any questions ? Heres to a perfectly powerfull month.

Christmas Feng Shui in South East Queensland

Go back to the very beginning of time – ultimately the meaning of Christmas is one of peace.  So how best to prepare ourselves and our homes for this special time of year ?

  • Compose a list, a daily list, of all/any jobs to be done by 24.12.2013.
  • Before you decide on any aspects of decorating this year, have a good old clean and de-clutter of your home.  Know that each and every task you perform when preparing for Christmas has an enormous impact on those living in this space, put love in every corner of your home, and notice how your home lovingly responds, and it will !
  • Think about the colours you would like to use this year – balance being all important. Here in Australia, December tends to be pretty warm and so it pays to keep cool colours in our environment.  Keep in mind where best to put the all important Christmas tree.  Know that each room in your home has different importance and meaning, and depending on what is happening in your life this year,  this may help decide where to place your tree.
  • Plan ahead – wherever you can do in advance,  do so.  Keep the kitchen clean and uncluttered and please all bills filed away – none on display ; or pay it/them and then file.
  • Have fresh bowls of fruit in kitchen and dining room and preferably in groups of nine, the magic number !
  • Spend time with your friends and family.  Have fun, play games. Bring back the fun whatever that means for you and yours.  Keep calm and have a cuppa -if you would like advice on colours and/or placement of items, I am  but an email away.  Christmas is not a season, Christmas is a feeling
